THE BRIEF
Biffa has been at the forefront of the UK’s waste industry for over a hundred years, with operations that span the entire breadth of the waste management process including collection, reuse, recycling, treatment, disposal and energy generation.
Pure Office Solutions Ltd were given a design brief To fully refurbish and redesign the offices on the first floor in Wednesbury offices and transform in into a modern, bright and spacious working areas for staff.
This included stripping down the whole office to open up the space. The ground floor toilets also needed a refresh in this project. This project for refurbishments has to be done in phases as the offices will have to be a working office while the refurbishments are on-going.

THE OUTCOME
Pure Office Solutions Ltd has done the project in 4 phases over 6 weeks as everything has to be operational.
Phase one and two involved closing off half of the open plan office with plastic sheeting one side at a time to do the dilapidation works including stripping out existing glass partitions to add more floor area to the open plan office, ripping out existing carpet and ceiling tiles and dispose of existing furniture.
New carpet flooring was laid out, new ceiling tiles and LED lighting has also been put in place to brighten up the office space.
Painting and decorating throughout the office floor was also done in sections to refresh all the office areas.
New network and power points has also been put in place.
New air-conditioning was installed in the first floor offices to improve temperature regulation and ventilation in the office.
The third phase involved rebuilding 4 new offices with stud walls, brand-new flooring, lighting and ceiling tiles.
New bench desking with grey divider screens was installed throughout the open office while the offices had some corner desks and round meeting tables. Each member of staff had their own lockers for personal items in the locker wall at the end of the office. Brand new venetian blinds in silver perforated finish was installed to all windows.
The last stage of this project was refurbishing the ground floor toilets with new vanity units and cubicles that matched the company colours. The end result was a brand new looking, spacious and well-ventilated office floor that goes well with the corporate branding.
